Asterlock Archives Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Florida Logic Studio LLC ("Florida Logic Studio", "we", "us", or "our") handles information related to Asterlock Archives, including the iOS app, TestFlight builds, App Store builds, this public support website, and support communications (collectively, the "Services"). Asterlock Archives is designed as a local-first puzzle game. The App does not require a named account, does not run ads, and does not use third-party analytics SDKs.

This page is written to describe current product behavior in plain language. It is not a substitute for advice from a privacy or legal professional. We may update it as the Services, laws, App Store requirements, StoreKit products, Firebase configuration, hosting, or support processes change.

Short version: core gameplay stays on your device. Optional Online League uses anonymous Firebase services only after you enable it. Optional purchases are handled by Apple. We do not sell personal information, do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, do not track you across apps or websites, and do not show ads.

Scope and Controller

Florida Logic Studio LLC is responsible for this Privacy Policy for Asterlock Archives. Apple, Firebase (Google), Vercel, your device operating system, your email provider, and other third-party services may also process information under their own terms and privacy policies when they provide App Store distribution, purchases, authentication, hosting, security, or support tools.

Notice at Collection (Summary)

Information We Do Not Collect

Asterlock Archives is designed to avoid collecting personal information. We do not intentionally collect your real name, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos or camera roll, advertising identifiers, device identifiers for tracking, or payment card details. We do not collect puzzle answers, evidence text, or full gameplay transcripts through Online League.

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, social login SDKs, web beacons for advertising, or advertising cookies.

Local App Data

The App stores gameplay state locally on your device using Apple system storage. This may include unlocked files, viewed evidence, solved puzzles, discovered keywords, completed cases, selected terminal theme, hint counts, selected case, intro/return briefing state, local rank progress, and locally cached purchase entitlement IDs. This information is used to make the game work, restore your progress, remember settings, keep purchased content available inside the App, and show local rank and challenge progress.

Local app data is not sent to an Asterlock Archives server. If you delete the App, reset local progress, restore your device, replace your device, disable backups, or use operating system tools that remove app storage, local progress may be lost.

Optional Online League

Online League is optional. If you enable Online League in the Rank tab, the App uses Firebase Authentication to create or use an anonymous user ID and uses Cloud Firestore to store leaderboard entries.

The Online League entry may include a generated agent name, score, rank title, rank icon, opened file count, solved lock count, closed case count, board identifier, schema version, Firebase anonymous user ID, and update time. This data is used to display leaderboards inside the App, update your leaderboard row, reduce duplicates, and support the weekly/all-time board experience.

Online League does not upload puzzle answers, evidence text, typed puzzle attempts, real name, email address, contacts, precise location, advertising identifiers, payment information, or Apple billing credentials.

Pausing Online League stops live listening and future sync attempts from the App, but does not delete previously synced leaderboard rows. You can delete Online League records directly from the Rank tab using the in-app delete control, which removes the anonymous Firebase league identity and known leaderboard rows. We may remove stale, abusive, duplicate, test, or invalid leaderboard entries.

In-App Purchases and StoreKit

Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Apple may process payment information, purchase history, tax information, billing status, fraud prevention signals, refunds, Family Sharing information, and other data needed to operate the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card number, Apple ID password, App Store billing credentials, or bank information.

The App checks Apple-provided purchase entitlements so purchased content can unlock. The App may store product entitlement IDs locally on your device so the experience works reliably offline.

Website Logs and Cookies

The Site is a static support site. We do not intentionally set advertising cookies or run cross-site tracking pixels. Hosting providers (such as Vercel) and internet infrastructure may process standard technical logs and security signals to deliver and protect the Site.

If we ever add non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies to the Site, we will update this policy and, where required, provide appropriate notice and choices.

Support Communications

If you contact support, we will process the information you choose to provide. This may include your email address (if you email us), message content, screenshots, and any identifiers you include (for example, an App Store order identifier). We use this information to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and improve support quality.

Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.

When We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may share or disclose information in these limited situations:

Retention

Local app data: stored on your device until you delete it (for example, by resetting progress, uninstalling the App, or using OS tools).

Online League: stored in Firebase until you delete it using the in-app delete control, we remove it for abuse/operations reasons, or the feature is discontinued. Retention may be affected by provider operations and backups.

Website logs: retained by hosting and infrastructure providers for security and operational purposes according to their retention practices.

Support communications: retained as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support history, comply with legal obligations, and prevent abuse.

Security

We take reasonable measures designed to protect information we handle. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

U.S. Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under U.S. state privacy laws (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Virginia) such as the right to access, delete, correct, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, and the right to opt out of certain uses (such as targeted advertising in some contexts).

Asterlock Archives does not sell personal information, does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not run targeted advertising. The Services are designed so that most gameplay data stays on your device, which means we often cannot access or delete local gameplay data from our systems because we do not have it.

For Online League records, use the in-app delete control in the Rank tab first. For support-channel records or unresolved requests, you can request access, correction, or deletion through the support page or by contacting us at the address below. We may need enough information to verify the request and locate the record (for example, the app name, request type, and approximate date).

We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. We may deny or limit requests where permitted by law, including when we cannot verify the request, do not have the data, must keep information for legal or security reasons, or the request conflicts with another person's rights.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Controls

The Site does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking profiles, so browser "Do Not Track" signals do not change the Site's behavior. If a legally recognized privacy control applies to your browser or location, we will honor it where required and technically feasible.

Children's Privacy

Asterlock Archives is a puzzle and entertainment app. It is not designed to collect personal information from children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App has no named account system, no chat, no user-generated public profile, and no advertising SDK. Parents and guardians can use Apple device, Family Sharing, Screen Time, purchase approval, and App Store controls to supervise downloads, purchases, and use.

If you believe a child provided personal information through Apple feedback, TestFlight, email, written mail, the support page, or another support channel, contact us to request deletion or correction.

International Users

The Services may be accessed from outside the United States. By using the Services, you understand that information handled by Apple, Firebase, Vercel, email providers, support channels, or Florida Logic Studio LLC may be processed in the United States or other countries where those providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from your location.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, Site, StoreKit products, Firebase use, hosting, legal requirements, App Store requirements, or support processes change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made. Continued use of the Services after an update means the updated policy applies, except where law requires additional notice or consent.

Contact

Use the App Store support link, TestFlight feedback, the support form, the support page, or written mail for privacy requests. Please include enough detail to identify the app, request type, relevant feature, and your preferred response path.
